Summer nights.

It's said that Mark Twain once commented, "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." Well, I think I can attest to that!

Last night, a group of nine of us went up to watch the San Francisco Giants (my first loves) take on the Chicago Cubs. The good guys lost, so I was slightly heartbroken, but the game was exciting nonetheless. I also managed to do this really impressive thing where I stepped on top of a folding stadium chair and folded my entire right leg up into it, sending half of me tumbling to the ground in front of a bunch of people. The consequences: a scraped ankle and a leg bruised in about fifty places. At first I thought my ego suffered the worse injury until I woke up this morning and realized the leg's pretty banged up. :P You may applaud me now, or else you might wanna try it for yourself cos I heard all the cool kids are doin' it. ;]

Before the journey north! Our friend Nic took this on a film camera and it's kind of inspiring me.

The view from way up in our reserve section seats! I'd never sat on the third tier before, but I loved it.

Giants catcher Buster Posey, a batter for the Cubs, and an ump with whom I had differing opinions.

Anna - who was a baseball game virgin! She enjoyed herself, but said it was too cold. Preach it, sister!

Ethan looks like a little boy!

Case in point! :P Also taken by Nic.

Billy and Nic playing some air instruments.

The stress of the game got to Ethan, causing the onset of an adorable double chin.

Luckily, tonight's game went a lot more smoothly! Ethan and I sat up near the section where we sat last night and watched the Giants duke it out with the Cubs for a win. :]

Ethan and me, looking silly.

The view from our nosebleed seats. ;]

Starting pitcher Barry Zito.

Leadoff batter Andres Torres.

My baseball crush (no worries; he's married and I like Ethan a lot), Buster Posey.

Oh man. I love - I mean, really love baseball. Summer's just not summer without it - cold weather or not. ;]

Preliminary packing has begun! T-16 days. Yikes.
